But seriously folks, all this music has been in the frontal lobe this past week for one reason or antother. The wonders of the internet have brought me a such a splendid sound track this Sunday. wfuv elevated my ususal Sunday breakfast from yummy to sublime. From blueberry pancakes to perfect eggs bendict, maybe even that wonderful crabby benedict that daddy loves so,from the corner joint on LowerLine. John Platt had a gorgeous tribute to exceptional song writer, Dave Carter , on the 10th anniversary of his death. Maura and Pete Kennedy, Richard Shindel, Joan Baez, all chatted with John . Worth several listens.
Back to your platter- Frannie and I decamp Aug 11 or so for our great adventure. We head to the villes first, ashe, knox, nash, evans, kane. Visiting the Chicago environs, north to Wisconsin, further north to the Porcupine Mountains. ( you ARE on line, check it out, 124 water falls !) Then east to Rhode Island for Rhythm and Roots. Books, music, must sees, must eats, must listens- please send your suggestions as we plan our uncharted trip. We will me moving in a general direction with specific destinations along the way , with eyes wide and appetites for the new old and unusual. If you find yourself in this wide net while we are out and about, by all means , give us a shout out so we can rendez vous.
